Upper End, Section #4

Today's section of the path is a short one, as it is about to take a sharp left-hand turn and go uphill. The camera has been busy; I had over 90 photos waiting for me (though about 50 of them were of rabbits). I think the news of the Critter Mix must be spreading throughout the woods.

Orange belly, black head & beak, black/white wings. What is it?

Cardinal, some sort of sparrow, and ?. The orange extends to this one's back. Different bird?

  1. Thanks, Amy. Viewers on Facebook came to the same conclusion about the bird that appears by itself. Some have suggested, though, that the bird with orange in the photo with Cardinal could be an Orchard Oriole.
