So to shake things up a bit, I did something a little different a few days ago. Instead of pointing the camera down the path, I set it up to catch the visitors to the only downed tree that crosses it. I expected some nice close-up shots of squirrels, and maybe a few birds. I figured I'd attract those squirrels with a line of peanuts from the critter mix.
When I got to the camera today, I discovered it was holding 264 photos! As I started to review the pics at home, I was immediately surprised to learn that all the peanuts were gone in less than one hour, and that, as far as I could tell, squirrels didn't get a single one of them! A couple that I'm posting today are not in great focus, but you'll get the idea ;)
It's going to take some time to whittle down the 260 other photos to just the best. Tomorrow I'll share pics of the other visitors to this log.
